Mailing lists (or mail lists) are a group of people connected via e-mail, usually to discuss or exchange information on a certain topic.
The GEA is running a mailing list on all the activities of the club which you can subscribe to if you like.
It works like a bulletin board: any message posted by a subscriber of the list is sent to all the other subscribers.

If you can access the World Wide Web of the Internet with a browser, you can read this list, including past messages, but you cannot post messages. Just go to https://gea.groups.io/.

You need access to an e-mail account with your personal e-mail address.

It's easy.
You can either just send a blank e-mail (no subject, no text necessary) from your personal e-mail address to subscribe@gea-muc.de.
If you have no personal e-mail address and want to use a company address, please make sure not to use any autoresponder, 'out-of-office' message etc.

Or in your browser you go to https://groups.io/g/GEA/join and follow the instructions on the screen.

You can instantly remove yourself from the list by simply sending a blank e-mail from your registered address to unsubscribe@gea-muc.de.
You'll receive a reconfirmation mail, and to confirm you just reply to that mail.

After your subscription and your acceptance of the invitation to join, you will receive the messages of this list.
And you can post messages to all the list members. Just send your message to: mailinglist@gea-muc.de.

The list is reserved for the announcement of programme changes and ad-hoc events.
Should you want to post on any other important subject please contact the list moderators at moderator@gea-muc.de.

In order to prevent spam on the list, the list is moderated. That means that your message is examined by the moderators (normally the members of the programme team) and either approved and subsequently published or rejected. In that latter case you'll be noticed by Groups.io.
Please keep in mind that the moderators as all the GEA team members are volunteers and do that job in their free time.

Just go to https://gea.groups.io/ and you can read the archived messages.

You first unsubscribe with your old e-mail address (unsubscribe@gea-muc.de) and then subscribe from the new one (subscribe@gea-muc.de).

Or, if you have set a password for our member account, go to the Groups.io Log-in page and log in. Then look for the drop-down in the top right corner of the page, which will be either your name or email address. Click that and then click Account.
On the Edit profile page, you can change your email address. Once you do so, you will receive a new confirmation email. Once you reply to that, you will be all set.

Only in case you no longer have access to one of the possibilities above, contact the list manager via listmanager@gea-muc.de.
